The softest hard

This project was about spreading a hard message through soft-ness. It could be interpreted in many ways, but I chose to display a hard message in a soft fabric. The message that I went for is about rape and abortion. In some countries abortion is not legal or your own choice. It still is a hard subject to talk about with different opinions.

My approach

In this project I chose to make the message about rape on underwear. This is closest to the part of the body that we're talking about.

I made my own font and wrote the sentence "I don't want his child" to spread a message about rape and abortion. I chose for embroidery. This would keep the idea of having everything in fabric.
